Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (PS/K)
Specially designed materials and inspiring presentations in the Atrium are created for the Preschool/Kindergarten aged children and help the children explore areas of faith formation appropriate to their developmental age. The outcome is a profoundly personal and joyful expression of faith, unique to each child’s relationship with God.
Religious Education (1st-8th Grades)
The Religious Education program is meant to supplement the religious formation already happening in the home. Parents are the first and foremost educators of their children. Our religious education program is for children in grades 1 – 8 who are members of the parish but do not go to Catholic schools.
Sacrament Preparation
Sacrament preparation is required for all children wishing to celebrate the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Eucharist or Confirmation this year. Preparation is done though a family-centered program which includes orientations and workshops to prepare for each sacrament.
Rite of Christian Initiation for Children (RCIC)
RCIC is for children who were not baptized as babies but want to enter into the Catholic Church. Like RCIA, RCIC consists of learning about Catholicism and preparing to receive the sacraments. RCIC lasts for a school year, with the child entering the Church during the Easter Vigil and receiving the sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation.
Vacation Bible School (VBS)
VBS is a religious education program catered towards elementary school-aged children, usually a week-long in length and offered during the summer. The program consists of religious education that employs Bible stories, religious songs, arts and crafts, skits, and more.
