The St. Vincent de Paul Ministry at St. Michael provides spiritual and financial assistance to individuals and families in both our parish and within the boundaries of the Grand Ledge School District. Due to the generous financial support of our parishioners we are currently able to distribute over $20,000 per year in assistance to those in need - primarily with rent, utilities, pharmacy, clothes, food, and gas. We work closely with the Grand Ledge Emergency Assistance Program, as well as State of Michigan and Eaton County public agencies to ensure coordination of services and avoid duplication.
Our teams of two are on call for one week at a time to take calls and determine what assistance is requested and can be provided. Calls come into the parish office, and the team assigned that week takes the information and visits the client at his/her home during the day for an in-person assessment. We also offer to pray with the clients.
To request help from the St. Michael St. Vincent de Paul Ministry, call the parish office at 517-627-8493. You will leave your name and phone number, and someone will return your call, usually within one day.
